Welcome to TAMMY FISHER PHOTOGRAPHY !!

Welcome to the “about me” section of my blog. I am so excited you stopped by. I hope this can be a place where you can learn a little about me and my passion for photography!

I am first and foremost a wife to the most wonderful man in the world and a mother to an incredible 16 year old son. Although I love photography, my passion for my family makes up much of who I am.

Many years ago I discovered that I had a true passion for photography. In Spring of 2007, I decided I wanted to turn my passion into a business. As my business grew, I found my niche became newborns and teens. Although I enjoy photographing all walks of life, this area has become my specialty.

So why newborns?
I was exhausted, yet I couldn’t sleep for staring at every detail of his tiny body. The way he wrinkled his nose when he yawned, the tiny dimples on the back of his hands, how he curled up into the deepest slumbers, barely able to open his eyes. I wanted to freeze time and document every second of the short window in which my son was a newborn. Before I knew it, he was walking, going to Kindergarten and driving. The way he looked those first 10 days, the way I felt, and the wonder of it all, I will never forget it. I wish I had images that captured those first days with my son, so many years ago. Through this longing, I have found that my passion is making time stand still for new parents, so that one day….when your “baby” is taller than you, and is driving off to college…you can pull out your images and for a minute…hold that magical time in your hands.

So why teens?
Its once in a lifetime…it’s the Senior Year. The Senior Year is 13 years in the making. It is standing on the edge of darkness. That spotlight that shines in between being a child and being an adult. You know where you have been, you are celebrating where you are, and you are jumping in, full force into your next journey. The senior year should be captured to celebrate one of the most important years of your life. Your pictures should be all about you, who you are, and where you are going. As a photographer, nothing inspires me more than to capture the energy and the uniqueness of this special time and freeze it with an image. It is once in a lifetime…it is why Seniors Rock!

So this is my story, this who I am, and what I love! I hope that you will continue to stop by my blog and view what I see behind the lens as I capture my clients in their special moments! Winner of the “Cutest Kid Contest” Announced! | Benson Family Photographer

I am excited to finally announce the winner of the 1st ANNUAL, SUMMER 2010 “Cutest Kid Contest!” But before I do, let me tell everyone a little about the contest. (This is kind of like American Idol….I have already made everyone wait since Sunday for the announcement…and now I am making you wait more!) Sorry!

Needless to say, I was very excited when I announced the contest and received 32 contestants! I had no idea that many would come in, and had no idea that once the contest launched there would be over 500 VOTES! The winner will receive a “FREE” Mini Shoot along with 10 digital images (value $350) and the 2nd place winner (which, by the way, there are only 14 votes between the two) $75 print credit to be used toward a mini or full session! All contestants receive a $25 print credit just for entering!

OK….no commercials on the blog so I guess I can’t hold off anymore!

DRUM ROLL PLEASE……

The WINNER of the 1st ANNUAL, SUMMER 2010 “Cutest Kid Contest” is….(pause)….Miss Autumn Whitley! Autumn is the cutest thing! I photographed her and her family in November of last year and let me just say this….she wasn’t very excited about our shoot! Although we had to take many breaks, we were still able to capture the beauty of this family! I can’t wait to see her again! Everyone please leave a comment congratulating Autumn on her win! While you are there, wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY, as next Friday (July 23rd) is her 1^st birthday !! CONGRATS and HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUTUMN!

And now for the 2nd place WINNER….Mr. Cameron Godwin!! His dad worked really hard at getting votes and it sure paid off! He is just the cutest thing…love the dark hair…and that smile….I could just eat him up! CONGRATS Cameron!

Fall Mini Sessions – $50

Date: Saturday, September 25th (rain date Oct 2nd) only 6 slots remaining

Place: Local Raleigh Park

Session Includes -

- 20-25 minute session for up to 2 children or immediate family

- 5-10 images presented in a private on-line gallery

- 5 day on-line ordering

All Tammy Fisher Photography products will be available for purchase. Digital files will be discounted at a “mini” price! For those that would like to print Christmas Cards, or prints (up to 8 x 10′s) for gifts…this would be perfect for you! (Great way to take care of everyone’s Christmas Present with one gift!)

Due to the time of the session, we will be focusing on a particular shot, family shots, individuals of two children or less, siblings, etc. Once we have captured the “shot,” we will capture other images with the remaining time. Minis are NOT suitable for those looking for a variety of poses, backgrounds or outfits. The sessions are booked back to back. If you are late, you will only have the remaining time to complete your session. Sessions Fee is non-refundable so make sure both dates work for you!

There are still FULL sessions dates remaining in September and October!

Chad Whitley - Congratulations to everyone! That was a tough contest…everyone was SO cute! I’ve never seen so many beautiful children gathered in one place at one time. So again…congrats to all!
